Manage User Accounts

In this article, we will explain how to add, edit, and delete user accounts from your Main User profile. Also, it will instruct on how to give certain permissions for users.

In this article, we will explain how to add, edit, and delete user accounts from your Main User profile. Also, it will instruct on how to give certain permissions to users.

Please note, the preferences view is only accessible using the main user account.

Configuration

To manage users, go to your OMS→ Account→Preferences → User Accounts:

You’ll be taken to a view where you can see all created users. Below, we’ll explain each option in detail.

Add users manually

  1. Click on Add User:

  2. Fill in the required information:

    • User's Email / Login – This is the email address the user will use to log in.

    • Temporary Password – The user must change this password later.

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Active – Users can only log in if their account is activated.

    • Orders View – Allow or deny access to the orders view.

    • Integration Settings – Allow or deny access to the integrations view (located in OMS → Orders → Integrations). From here, users can set up sales channels, templates, and more.

    • Inventory View – Allow or deny access to the inventory view.

    • Inventory Export – Allow or deny access to export inventory data.

    • Replenishment View – Allow or deny access to the replenishments view.

    • Returns View – Allow or deny access to the returns view.

    • Reports View – Allow or deny access to reports.

    • Orders Data Download – Allow or deny access to download order data (performed from the orders view).

    • Statements – Allow or deny access to the statements view.

    • Main User – Main users are the only ones with access to the Preferences view, which includes all functionalities such as permission settings, personal information, payment information, and more.

  3. Once all required fields are filled in, click Insert. If everything was entered correctly, the new user will be created.

Add Users in Bulk

Shipedge allows you to add users in bulk by uploading a CSV file.

1. Click on Upload CSV Users. A pop-up will open—download the template:

2. Fill in the template accordingly. These are the available fields:

3. Return to the pop-up and upload the completed file.

If successful, all users will be created. If you have any errors, the system will not let you upload the file and will show you the errors:

Editing And Deleting Users

Editing and deleting users is performed from the User Accounts view.

  • You can delete any user, even if they are active. However, please be careful, as this action cannot be undone.

  • You can also edit any user by clicking on Edit. This allows you to modify any information, including setting up a new temporary password.
