You connected a channel: what to do next

Choose what syncs, bring in your products, then add the places you keep stock.

Written by Commerce Copilot

1. Choose what syncs

Go to Automation › Integrations and click your channel. It opens on the Monitoring tab; switch to Settings. These steps use Shopify; other channels have similar options.

  • Turn on Import Orders, Import Products, Sync Inventory and Sync Update Tracking. Import Orders starts switched off, so check it.

  • Scroll down and click Save Changes. The button only appears after you change something, and nothing is kept until you click it.

Which orders come in: by default, orders that are open, unfulfilled and paid, so an unpaid test order won't appear. You can change these filters in the Orders section of the same Settings tab.

2. Bring in your products

On the same Settings tab, under Products, click Execute Get Products. Your products appear under Products › Inventory.

  • OmniOrders matches products across channels by SKU, so use the same SKU everywhere you sell.

  • Products imported from Shopify arrive without a supplier, a cost or dimensions. If you buy from suppliers, add the supplier and cost, so purchase orders show the right products and prices.

Your products aren't in a channel? In Products › Inventory, open the ⋮ menu and choose Upload Products by CSV, or click + New Product to add them one at a time.

3. Check it's working

The Monitoring tab has Order Logs, Jobs and Inventory Logs. To stop syncing, click Pause on the Settings tab.

4. Next: add your locations

A location is anywhere you hold stock or ship from: your own warehouse or store, a 3PL, or Amazon MCF. Go to Supply Chain › Facilities and click Create Facility.

Then tell your channel which location's stock to show. For Shopify: on the integration's Settings tab, under Sync Inventory, choose the Shopify location in Location Id and your facility in iLoc From, tick Sync Inventory, and click Save Changes.
